General

How are you going to help me connect with other youth workers like me?

We’ll help you find an affinity group! Connect with other youth workers who share similar passions and areas of expertise. Groups will include: middle school ministry, rural youth ministry, urban youth ministry, singles, women, tech geeks, and MORE!

How are you going to care for my soul at NYWC?

We encourage you to nourish your soul through a variety of spaces and experiences in the Prayer Chapel or Sanctuary. These areas will allow you an opportunity to rest with yourself, others, and God. We will also have Convention Pastors and Spiritual Directors available for confidential, private sessions.

I'm a first-timer. What do I do?

Check in under your church name.  Your time at the Convention is for fun, re-charging, hanging out, relaxing. You can choose to attend or not attend any of the scheduled activities. Convention Headquarters will be glad to answer any questions. No need to sign up for the seminars in advance. You’ll find late night activities, and quiet and reflective activities.

What are the "take aways" from the convention?

You will find our seminars packed with practical strategies and lesson plans to take home with you.  A few examples would be: how to plan a mission trip, strategy for small group ministry, involving parents, volunteer-led ministry, and 12 week mentoring program.  Outside of the focused training, expect a ton of networking opportunities, valuable rest and encouragement, and lots of laughs!  And if you’re looking for resources to help you along the way, NYWC has a boatload of curriculum kits, programming resources and things for your own personal and professional development. We’ve got a ton of cool stuff for sale that can help you if that’s what you’re looking for.

Who is this event for?

Anyone who works with youth!  You may be paid or volunteer, full time or part time, a small group leader or a worship leader.  There will be training and content across a wide spectrum of attendees.

How is the flooding in Nashville effecting convention?

We join you in concern for friends and ministries in Nashville affected by recent flooding. We look forward to bringing youth workers to Nashville!

If you’d like to get involved in the flood relief efforts, here are two excellent sites.
