Reserving a Room

The Sacramento Convention & Visitors Commission Housing Department is handling rooming. SCVB is unable to make reservations over the phone. Below are your options for booking hotel reservations. The SCVB Housing Bureau is able to answer any questions via e-mail at jreilly@cityofsacramento.org or jpudoff@cityofsacramento.org

Hotels available at reduced convention rates: Sheraton Grand, Hyatt Regency

The SCVB Housing Bureau online reservation Web site includes information on each hotel regarding location, amenities, and pricing. You must make all room reservations through the SCVB to get the reduced rate. Be sure and reserve your room early to get the best selection of hotels.

THE LAST DAY TO MAKE RESERVATIONS AND RECEIVE THE CONFERENCE RATE IS SEPTEMBER 18, 2008. Depending on availability, rooms may be reserved through the SCVB Housing Bureau until Sept. 18, 2008. Beginning Sept. 19, contact the hotels directly for availability and pricing.

Hotel Check-In

• Check into the hotel immediately upon arrival. (Since your room probably won't be available until 3 pm, the hotel will provide storage for your luggage.)
• Check in with a major credit card (even if you wish to pay your final bill by check).
  Note: It is recommended that a debit card not be used for hotel check-in as many hotels block your estimated total bill as a guarantee. Credit card check-in allows you to charge all expenses to your room. If you choose not to use a credit card, you must pay cash in advance, and you may not charge anything to your room.
• Settle your final bill with cash, traveler's checks, major credit card, or check (driver's license and major credit card required). Church checks made out to the hotel for the exact amount will be accepted with credit card back up. No third-party checks are accepted.
• Many hotels now have a surcharge if you check out earlier than scheduled. When you check into your hotel, be sure your checkout date is correct.

Changes/Cancellation Policy

No charge will be assessed for room cancellations made prior to 48 hours before your scheduled check in date. Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival forfeit a one night's room charge and tax. Changes may be made online, by e-mail, fax or phone prior to Sept. 18. Changes may be made by with the hotel directly AFTER Sept. 18 as needed prior to arrival.

Shuttle

Super Shuttle is the exclusive provider of on-call van service at Sacramento International Airport. To make a reservation online go to www.supershuttle.com. Cost from the airport is $11 one way or $22 roundtrip with discount. (see email with coupon)

Rental Cars

All rental car companies at Sacramento International Airport may be accessed by taking the Rental Car Terminal Shuttle to the Rental Car Terminal.

Taxis

You can locate taxis in the ground transportation area adjacent to the baggage claim area at Terminal A and across from the airport hotel at Terminal B. The rates are one-way between the airport and downtown is approximately $27.00.

FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE HWY 50 (FOLSOM, PLACERVILLE)
Take Hwy 50 to Sacramento
Take 16th Street Exit (one-way street, North)
Take 16th Street to "I" Street (one-way street, West)
Take a left on "I" Street
Take a left on 14th Street
Convention Center on "J" Street and 14th Street

FROM I-5 NORTH (Natomas, Woodland, Yuba City) or SOUTH (Elk Grove)
Take "J" Street Exit (one-way street, East)
Take "J" Street to 14th Street
Convention Center on right hand side
Follow the Directions to the Center, listed above and continue east, down "J" Street one more block. Memorial Auditorium is located on the left hand side of "J" Street between 15th and 16th Streets.

Follow the Directions to the Center, listed above. The Theater is located on the adjoining block to the South of the Center on "L" Street between 13th and 14th Streets. Parking may be found on all sides of the Center, within a few blocks.

If you need to drop someone off at the door of the Theater,
Continue on "J" Street and make a right onto 15th Street.
Turn right onto "L" Street
The Theater is located on the right side of "L" Street between 14th and 13th Streets.
