Come Home: An Invitation to Rest in God

We get lost in ministry. The tasks, the worry, and the relationships overwhelm us, and we lose touch with the God who called us. Meister Eckhart once wrote, "God's at home, we're the one's who go out wandering." This retreat is about returning home to the One who loves us. It's about remembering that before we are ministers, we are disciples, followers of Jesus, people in need of the love and mercy of God.

Take care of your soul. Through prayer, silence, music, conversation, and a variety of spiritual exercises we'll seek to encounter the One who is home, even in the midst of a lost and confused world. Together, we'll spend several hours exploring your relationship with God, grapple honestly with the challenges of practicing the presence of God in the midst of current cultural realities, and explore ways of incorporating, prayer, solitude, and silence into your life and ministry.
