SCHEDULE FOR NASHVILLE

Come Home: An Invitation to Rest in God
(Pre Convention Special Events)
Nov 20 1:00 PM-9:00 PM
Nashville

We get lost in ministry. Overwhelmed by the tasks, the worry, and the relationships, we lose touch with the God who called us. Meister Eckhart once wrote, “God is at home; it is we who have gone for a walk.” This eight-hour retreat is about returning home to the One who loves us. It’s about remembering that before we are ministers, we’re disciples, followers of Jesus, people in need of the love and mercy of God. Through prayer, silence, music, conversation, and a variety of spiritual exercises, we’ll seek to encounter the One who is home, even in the midst of a lost and confused world. * Spend eight hours exploring your relationship with God. * Grapple honestly with the challenges of practicing the presence of God in the midst of current cultural realities. * Explore ways of incorporating prayer, solitude, and silence into your life and ministry.
