Shauna lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her husband Aaron and her son Henry. She's the author of Cold Tangerines, a collection of essays about the extraordinary moments in our everyday lives. Shauna grew up at Willow Creek, then studied English and French literature at Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, California. She worked at Willow Creek for five years and at Mars Hill for three years. Her very favorite things are throwing dinner parties, taking full advantage of Michigan summers, and reading great books.
In our time together, we’ll explore the many ways that women relate to their own bodies and the gifts and challenges that relationship brings. We’ll share stories and ideas and work together toward discovering more loving ways of relating to our physical selves, as well as helpful ways to shape the ideas and thoughts of the young women we lead.
Shauna will read from her book, Cold Tangerines, answer questions, and share ideas and stories about creativity as a lifestyle, the writing and publication process, and the ways that storytelling can enrich our lives and ministry experiences.
